MTL - Anarchist March

Yo, throwing it out there: Anarchist March in MTL 5:30 @ Atwater/St. Catherine. Not so much an anarchist myself, but I think I may be checking it out to see what the deal is.

Peace!

Anarchist march... who's in charge of it?

Skinny Dipper

Unionist, I think you beat me.

Which way is the anarchist march heading?

Hey, I'm a guy from Toronto, and everybody in Canada's most interesting city knows how stupid we are, but I'm wondering why they would start in what seems to me to be the heart of English Montreal, near the border of Westmount. Maybe they're going to march through Westmount?

Unionist

I would think each participant will march to her own drummer.

Ste-Catherines & Atwater is certainly not the 'heart of English Montreal', and it's not generally associated with Westmount. It is, however, accessible from both major metro lines and is at the edge of downtown, making it a convenient starting point to walk through the centre of the city.

I don't know why you'd want to walk through Westmount (also not English speaking anymore), unless the anarchists wanted to go to the Dairy Queen.

I hope all 10 of them have a blast.

I wonder if Democrats have as much fun mocking socialists as babblers here have mocking anarchists?

nussy

The Republicans say the Democratss are socialists.

What up! To answer your questions they're marching into Old Montreal to the Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec headquarters. I don't know why they chose Atwater but I think it's 'cause it's a popular spot. The march is to spark the annual month long Festival of Anarchy! All this I believe is organized by the Anarchist Bookstore Collective.
