I'd like Malcolm X to replace Borden on the $100 bill. I'm serious.

Alan, sure I'd like to get rid of Borden, but are there no great antiracist figures (whether Afro-Canadian, other Person of Colour, or of course Indigenous) from within the Canadian state?

Or Gabriel Dumont. Remember, we are in the midst of Black History Month; I'm sure we can think of many worthy figures. I'm not saying this to minimise the international importance of Malcolm X, just the disturbing tendency to view history from the imperial centre.
