Thanks -- I know Ian (last saw him at an event in Montreal last month). His company, Mediastyle, deals with a lot of people across the political spectrum and he would not want to be seen as a political spokesman given his role in this company. He, of course, is an observer with personal opinions worth hearing but certainly unofficial. And, many people in the NDP, including some who like him a great deal, disagree with some of what he says.

A New Democrat MP says he will table a private member’s bill at the earliest opportunity to repeal controversial anti-terrorism measures — accusing the Trudeau government of moving too slowly on planned reforms.

NDP public safety critic Randall Garrison says the security legislation known as Bill C-51 severely compromised the rights of Canadians while doing little to improve safety.
