It is clear that I'm not the only Canadian who has been festering at the declining state of Canadian politics. I've started a dedicated blog as my Personal NoProrogation Project.
I'd love to see what other people are doing!
If anyone else out there has been insane enough to launch a NoProrogue blog let me know -- I've got a blogroll and I know how to use it!
I've been spending a great deal of time in my own little fight for democracy.
One of the CAPP Facebook Group subsections suggests concerned Canadians should do whatever we can to speak out during Prime Minister Stephen Harper's premature Prorogation. They've called it 31 Days of Action But you don't have to be on Facebook to participate: this is a grassroots issue of importance to all Canadians.
The premature prorogation issue first inspired me to make a number of political posts in my personal blog beginning with my rant in the wind: Canada We Have A ProRogue
But because the political stuff was on the verge of consuming my personal blog, it occurred to me that it might be better to launch a blog strictly to deal with things political. So I did.
It's not that I can afford the time, but it has certainly become very clear that Canadians can't afford to let things slide any further either.
So my Personal NoProrogue Project is posting to my new blog Oh! Canada every day until the prorogation is over. Amazingly so far I've kept it up, although one of the posts was wee a bit of a cheat. (funny, I don't seem to be getting enough sleep lately... wonder why )
My first post was Prorogation Vacation and of course some posts are deeper than others. Yesterday I finished a two part article on the perils of political advertising. One of my favorites is Dogs 4 Democracy which takes a pictorial look at canines who joined us in streets.
Anyway, I've probably blathered on too long but I thought it would be great to see what other people are doing - sharing and exchanging ideas is always a bonus - so I thought it would be an good idea to create a space here to compare notes.
I've showed you mine, now I'd love to see yours!
