Time to puncture the tire of the Liberal Party of Canada mythology

Let's start with the First Nations Issue, and put a stop to the nonsense that is being shoveled out by the Paul Martinites and others. Where were you Paul when you were Prime Minister?

Let's face at least a little bit of reality here. The LPC or the Cons have formed the Canadian government since Confederation. What is it exactly that the LPC has done since you had the power to change things?

And let's put an end to the Liberal lie that the LPC was going to do something when Paul Martin was Prime Minister. What was the LPC waiting for, another what has it been now, 75 years in power, in Ottawa, as Canada's natural governing party? What LPC rubbish!

Boom Boom Boom Boom's picture

We don't have nearly enough Liberal-bashing threads.

In the most recent federal election, held on May 2, 2011, the party had its worst showing in its history. The Liberal Party captured 19 per cent of the popular vote and won 34 seats, becoming the third-place party in the House of Commons for the first time.

And on the otherhand in the 1993 election the Conservatives got all of 2 seats!!

Don't get any worse than that IF you are one of the two main parties eh?

Just to clarify, Sandy, the 'Progressive' Conservatives won 2 seats in the 1993 election, while the 'Reform' (Conservatives in a hurry?) Party won 52 seats.
