Why Should You Vote Liberal?

The Liberals vote TWICE with the Conservatives to extend the mission in Afghanistan. Trudeau and Garneau both say they have no intention of bringing back the long gun registry, YESTERDAY there is a Libera M.P. touting our selling Canada out to the commies as a great deal!!!

And on it goes folks. As far as I can see the Liberal platform IS THE GD SAME AS THE CONSERVATIVE PLATFORM.

I stpped voting Liberal when they voted to extend the Afghanistan mission the first time.

If I want Conservative policy I'll vote Conservative """^NOT"""!!

LEST WE FORGET they say? Seems after yesterdays sell Canadian companies to the commies SOME OF US ALREADY HAVE FORGOTTEN.

OUR WAR VETS MUST BE TURNING IN THEIR GRAVES. To think they actually went and fought a war against commies.

GOD HELP THIS COUNTRY WE NEED IT BADLY!!!

I already knew that Liberal is too closer to Conservative than NDP.

Tell me what your view of NDP platform? or Green??

David Young

The Liberals voted almost 80 times with the Conservatives between 2008 and 2011.

Liberal-Tory...same old story!!!

socialdemocrati...

You should vote Liberal because...

  • They promised to repeal NAFTA, and didn't.
  • They promised to repeal the GST, and didn't.
  • They promised a childcare program, and didn't.
  • They did nothing on Kyoto.
  • In the 1990s, they made deeper cuts to the social safety net than Harper's Conservatives.
  • And once they were out of power, they shook hands with Harper to extend our stay in Afghanistan.

And now...

The Liberals are rallying behind a leader who is willing to say everything to everyone to get elected.

  • He supports Bill 101 to protect the French language, and will fight against pro-Francophone policies.
  • He won't divide the country, and is also against Albertan values, because Canada belongs to Quebec.
  • He is adamantly in favor of the gun registry, and also believes it's time to get rid of it.
  • He is pro-environment, and believes that criticizing the oil industry is anti-Western, AND promises to end Harper's inaction on the oilsands while exporting more of our oil to China.
  • He wants a more equal Canada, as long as we don't ask for anything from the wealthy. He supports the years of Liberal corporate de-regulation and tax cuts, and also vows that great wealth comes with great responsibility.

And you should vote Liberal because Justin Trudeau will keep the same half of those promises that you believe in!

It's nuts having four opposition parties splitting the vote against Harper, but that's the world we live in. Frown

Well Bomb Bomb, I believe what SD - in his parody - is inferring that electing a liberal party will not change the economic and social structures and the direction in which Canada is headed and has headed under both Liberals and Conservative govts - and thus voting Liberal will be the same. So replacing Harper Conservatives and electing Liberals under whoever will be futile - it's the same boat with the same deck chairs!

May I be the third SD on this board?

Yep Trudeau mania has nothing to do with rational thinking, thankfully it will pass.

mmphosis

"Just In"

Hairman Trudeau not to be confused with Chairman Harper

Why you should not vote Liberal.

And, how could anyone vote Liberal?

And, anyways why would you vote Liberal?

Unionist

This is as stupid as your Chairman Harper stuff is offensive.

I don't disbelieve this is true, but do you have any references for this that we can quote?

Thanks.

This comment is the longest way to say nothing I've ever seen. "This but that but not this but not that." Top it off with proposals that don't mean anything, and watch the media fawn over themselves.

S Dem:

He didn't say a thing. Tell me whay you want and I'll get back to you? That's his proposal? This guy has no ideas and is trying to speak the way he thinks his dad would have in the hope that somehow the Canaidan collective concience will be reawakened to recall the "glory days" of Canada under him, and that thinking he is "a chip off the old block", they'll elect him PM. I want to scream this C**p makes me so mad!

ETA: Honestly, if this guy gets elected without actually being forced to say something susbstantial other then "I love Canada; I'm a Trudeau, vote for me", I will just give up. This is G-d damn ridiculous.

A good line--from what/whom?  Here's another from Macbird, the 60s Barbara Garson play:

I know you think I'm acting like a toad / And yet I choose the middle of the road.

The "toad" in Garson's play was The Egg of Head, a parody of Adlai Stevenson.

Yay! A Rhetorical Questions Thread!

  • Why do birds suddently appear, every time you are near?
  • Why don't we do it in the road?
  • Why do fools fall in love?
  • Why does chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight?
  • Why can't we be friends?
  • Why is everybody always picking on me?

Who put the bomp in the bomp-she-bomp-she bomp?

Who put the ram in the rama-lama-ding-dong?

Why must I be a teenager in love?

What becomes of the broken hearted?

What would you do if I sang out of tune?

Would you stand up and walk out on me?

Arthur Cramer Arthur Cramer's picture

Why don't you do right, like some other men do

Why do I see stars when its raining, hiding every cloud from my view

What'll I do When you are far away And I am blue What'll I do?

Who's sorry now Who's sorry now Whose heart is achin' for breakin' each vow

Who, who stole my heart away, who, who makes me dream all day

Who's that knocking at my door, who's that knocking at my door, who's that knocking at my door said the fair young maiden

What kind of fool am I
