I'm New Here

Hello all,

I am new here at rabble/babble, and only found out about this place a week ago I think! I am not sure yet if I'll really fit in here, but I'm willing to give it a try. I am fairly left-wing (though I don't often use the phrase) but I try to be easy-going when it comes to politics.

Anyway, I hope I'll get to learn more while I'm here, and maybe make some new friends. Smile

Welcome, then.

Feel free to post on anything that interests you.

Welcome, CanadaApple - join right in! And if you can help some of us old-timers be easy-going too when it comes to politics, you will have made a great contribution!

Caissa

I'm sure you'll get to the core of the Babble culture. Wink

and don't let it hurt your feelings if someone asks "which cider you on?"

CanadaApple

Ah...nice to see such a warm welcome.

And nice job on the puns. Tongue out

You'll find us all appealing. Stems from our good nature.

Some of us bruise easily, however. If you're too tart, we can crumble at the first sign of pressure, dumplings that we are. Nevertheless, our prose is crisp; if you're too trifling, we'll wrap you in a streusel before you can cobble together a saucy reply.

And here I was considering the best way to offer to shoot you with high grade elephant tranquilizers when you were getting over-excited.

I second that.  This is the frankest admission we've seen here in a long while.

Caissa

Just don't post when you are pie-eyed.

Ken Burch Ken Burch's picture

Because that just makes us look seedy.

Caissa

But it does have some a peel.

Puns are cheap laughs. We need a pun-free zone here.

Caissa

Is that your only problem? I thought I had offended your core values.

Boom Boom Boom Boom's picture

Oh, you're rotten! Laughing

Caissa

That's the spirit. You seem less of a crab now.

And most of your posts are pure Red Gold.

I'm wondering if I should have picked a different username. And no, that pun wasn't intentional. Tongue out

Slumberjack

Tickles your fancy..does it?

Boom Boom Boom Boom's picture

So does pi.

Caissa

The problem is pie are squared.

Boom Boom Boom Boom's picture

Let's not get pi eyed.

Caissa

You're getting crusty now.
