Dave Courage, 5 years after Metropolis attack

Radio-Canada and CBC Montréal are returning to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the PQ electoral night rally at the Metropolis club.

We remember that Denis Blanchette (a stage technician; neither of these workers were taking part in the rally) was killed on the spot and his colleague Dave Courage was severely wounded and is still in constant pain and affected by PTSD.

On Labour Day, this is also a reminder of how little security freelancers and workers at small, uninsured businesses have. Mr Courage is currently on welfare (or technically, the corresponding programme for disabled people which provides a bit more, but is still a pittance).
